Ever wondered what film and video editors get up to in there little dark rooms? Well, you may find out here.

My name is Sadiq Mohamed, and I spent over 30 years in the UK TV & Film Industry before "retiring" to design and manage websites. To pay the rent I freelance as a Systems Engineer & do some consulting.

Throughout my career, I took photos of my workplace and colleagues. Some of this archive is of historical interest, and constitutes a personal history of video tape recording, and editing.

I began my career at the BBC in December 1969, before moving to Molinare in November 1978, and then going freelance in January 1984. Most of my career has been as a Video Tape Editor, working with all the major computer on-line systems. In 1989 I had my first "close encounter" with Digital Non-Linear Editing, and worked throughout the 1990's with the EMC & Lightworks systems on numerous Film & TV projects.

During the 80's & 90's I consulted, demonstrated & instructed for a number of editing system manufacturers, including Calaway, EMC & Lightworks.

Due to major health problems, I've been "off-line" for a couple of years. Now that I'm back, I intend to get this site up to date. As a start I've moved it to a new server, and the updates will appear a bit at a time.

Say tuned!
